Sayed Mohammad Baqer Qazwini has a BA in Sociology from the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor, and he is also a seminary graduate from the Seminary of Qom, Iran. He works with the Islamic Institute of America in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and he is the director of Al-Hujjah Islamic Seminary. He specializes in Islamic Law and Theology. Currently he is in the holy city of Najaf advancing his studies.

Sayyid H. Bahrelelom

Sayyid H. Bahrelelom is a strategist, lecturer, and public intellectual. He studies under the tutelage of the professors of the Islamic Seminary, and he lectures in communities across the globe on topics ranging from theology, jurisprudence, philosophy, ethics, and community development. In addition to serving as an advisor and trustee of the Mainstay Foundation, Sayyid Bahrelelom is a strategy consultant at a DC-based research and advisory firm.

Zahra Al Alawi

Zahra Al Alawi has graduated from a Media and Television degree at the University of Hertfordshire in England. As well as being personally tutored by Islamic scholars and lecturers. She has been presenting and delivering islamic lectures globally for over 18 years. She has lectured and chaired conferences around the United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Dar Es Salaam, Iraq, Bahrain and Kuwait. Her TV talk show “Womans View” on Sky 831 broadcasted over 1000 episodes interviewing a range of women. She has gone on to host several other female led television shows

Zahra has also appeared on British media channels such as BBC, ITV3 and Channel4 speaking on Islamic issues. She has also been quoted in “The Telegraph” and “The Independent” news articles. Zahra had a meeting with the British Prime Minister in 2016 at 10 Downing Street where she projected to him the achievements of British Muslim Women.

Mohammad Taher

Mohammad Taher is an engineer at Heathrow airport by day but by night he is an inspirational speaker and workshop facilitator. Mohammad creates educational content that is designed to inspire and empower people to both learn about careers in stem as well as seeking to live a life fulfilling one’s potential. He enjoys learning about islamic principles from a personal development perspective and then uses that insight to help those around him gain a new understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Dr Amina Al-Yassin

From UK

Dr Amina Al-Yassin is a GP with a special interest in child and adolescent mental health- she works in the NHS both in GP and young people’s mental health clinics and with large children’s charities in the UK and Iraq. Her passion is ensuring that children are mentally healthy enough to thrive, lead and reach their potential. She especially believes that difficult experiences in childhood should not mean that people are held back- she trains other professionals on dealing with trauma, bereavement and on the youth mental health first aid course.

Dr Amina has developed an award-winning, Children’s university accredited programme for personal development for young people, which has been used in Iraq for over 16 months with excellent results. She is looking forward to sharing elements of this programme with this years campers as they look into teamwork, confidence, resilience, problem solving and many of the other “soft” skills that make all the difference when it comes to success in the workplace and beyond!

Dr Kiran Nijabat

Dr Kiran Nijabat is a Consultant Child and adolescent psychiatrist and the founder and director of the Family Wellness Practice.

Dr Kiran graduated from Guys’, King’s and St.Thomas’ Medical school in 2008 and gained an Intercalated BSc in Management from Imperial Business School. She went on to train on the UCL core psychiatry training scheme and the Tavistock higher training scheme.
Kiran is passionate about mental wellness and uses her expertise to educate children, adolescents, their families and professionals through workshops and CPD accredited courses.

In the past 5 years, Kiran has led the Family Wellness Practice team and has developed and delivered ten CPD accredited mental health related courses covering a range of subjects, including mental wellness, building resilience, parenting, self harm and suicide prevention.

The Family Wellness Practice team have delivered bespoke mental health training and counselling to over 5000 staff parents and students across various sectors including schools, colleges, nurseries, orphanages, residential homes, charities, places of worship and hospital staff.

Dr Kiran is a regular key note speaker at mental health conferences and has received outstanding feedback both nationally and internationally for her work and strives to be at the forefront of mental health education.

Isra Altayar is a life coach, NLP practitioner, mentor and speaker. Her passion is to to empower people to unlock their superpower, become emotionally free and begin their unique journey of finding true purpose and giving the very best of themselves to the world. She believes everyone can reach happiness and fulfilment, but never fail to grow and challenge themselves on a personal and professional level at the same time.

Isra is a mother of 4 and a self-made entrepreneur coaching clients on a 1-2-1 bases. She has developed her own online courses and group coaching sessions to serve on a wider scale.

She believes in incorporating holistic methods, through growing the mind, body and soul as well as combining both religion and psychology wherever possible to help people transform their lives and achieve long term mindset shifts and success.

She has helped clients through building confidence, stress management, anxiety, depression, relationships and parenting challenges as well as career and business development.

1-“Ultimate you”: a course on discovering oneself, gaining emotional freedom and beginning to discover one’s purpose
2- Islamic spirituality: a short programme to understand our connection to Allah, our purpose and gaining peace and tawakul.

Hassan Irawany is an inspiring Islamic lecturer, teacher, and youth worker. Since 2015 he has been studying Islamic theology, jurisprudence, and ethics. Hassan is also a mainstream secondary school teacher with innovative and engaging teaching methods, inspiring students to explore Islamic knowledge further.

Beyond the classroom, Hassan is an active youth worker, committed to empowering young people and promoting social cohesion and interfaith harmony through various community initiatives. He is also an author of the book “What is Logic?: The Science of Reason,” which simplifies complex ideas in a way that is easy to understand.

Shah is also an experienced speaker, workshop, and fundraising gala dinner host, having delivered several talks and facilitated various workshops on financial planning for individuals and faith-based communities.

Ibraheim Al Ansari

FROM HAWZA OF NAJAF

After completing his bachelors degree in Law at Brunel University London (LLB), and taking pre-introductory hawza lessons in London under the supervision of his father Dr Sheikh Rashad Al Ansari, Ibraheim Al Ansari went on to continue his study at the Seminary (Hawza) of Najaf, where he is studying currently.

He has been reciting for the Ahlulbayt (as) from a very young age and started public speaking and orating in honour of the Holy Household (as) in 2017. He has also been teaching lessons at several centres and organisations to various age groups since 2014 covering a range of Islamic subjects and topics.

On the pulpit, he has covered a wide range of topics including social jurisprudence, morality, creed and history.
